Tushen is a private dining house with a single purpose: to share the culinary heritage of Africa through fine dining experiences hosted in your home, your venue, your moment.

Born from Africa.
Built for the World's Table.
Tushen was founded by culinary experts, experience designers, and hosts shaped by the heritage of Kenya, the Igbo culture, and the ancient Kingdom of Benin, alongside European and Australian influences. We saw African cuisine treated as folklore or spectacle, and rarely held with the quiet authority it deserves.
We chose another way. A private dining house, chef-led, with one obsession: to put African heritage at the centre of the fine dining conversation, on the most personal stage there is, your own table.
From intimate dinners to embassy receptions, every evening is hosted in private. No restaurant. No churn. Only the meal, the room, and the people inside it.
Chef Ben.
The boy who had a dream.
Chef Ben grew up in Kenya, dreaming of becoming a chef. Watching professional kitchens at work ignited a lifelong passion for food made with intention.
After training in Kenya, he travelled to Europe to deepen his craft and broaden his culinary vocabulary, before finding his way to Australia and bringing his ever-evolving approach to the table in sunny Sydney.
Today, Chef Ben is inspired by every host he cooks for, composing menus from the heart and welcoming the challenge of each new evening. His private chef experiences are sought after by those looking for something more personal, more engaging, and unmistakably memorable.
